DSWD-ARMM Conducts Gender Sensitivity Training

A Gender Sensitivity Training intended to orient participants on the necessity of mainstreaming Gender and Development in the implementation Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) was held at Marco Polo Hotel on July 25-27, 2013.


Participated in by the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) staff, the topics presented and discussed during the activity were: (1) Sex Versus Gender (2) Gender Differentiation in Society (3) Analysis of Gender Issues and Concerns (4) Mainstreaming of GAD in all aspects of 4Ps implementation.

            During the training, gender action planning workshop was conducted for future activities that will be done.

            Resource Persons during the training were: Ms. Agnes Miclat Cacayan, Convenor of Women’s Circle; Ms. Mari Lou B. Caharian, President of Habagat Partnership Networks and Initiatives for Development (HAPNID); and Ms. Rahima Datumanong-Alba, Assistant Regional Secretary for Operations, DSWD-ARMM.
