The Year-end Program Review and Evaluation Workshop (PREW) of the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program, popularly known as 4Ps, was conducted at the Royal Mandaya Hotel, Davao City on February 2-5, 2014.


Participated in by the Provincial and Regional Staff of program, such as the Provincial Links, Provincial Social Welfare Officers, Cluster Head and Cluster Officers of different provinces and the Regional Project Management Office (RPMO Staff), the activity was held to assess and evaluate the status of program implementation along with the performance of program staff.

Spearheaded by Hon. Haroun Alrashid A. Lucman, Jr., ARMM Regional Vice-Governor and Concurrent Regional Secretary of the department and Hadja Pombaen Karon-Kader, Assistant Regional Secretary and the Regional Program Manager of the Pantawid Pamilya Program.

In her message Assistant Regional Secretary Kader stressed that the Program Implementation Review is regularly conduct very six months to assess and evaluate the extent of program implementation along with the performance of the program staff. The year-end review also assessed the Set 7 beneficiaries, which is newly registered, and Set 1 and 2 beneficiaries who are almost to graduate. “We are hoping for this year (2014) that everything will be ironed out for the program to achieve considerable gains. We are moving towards a process to arrive at the exact and true of who really are the legitimate beneficiaries and eligible poor,” she added.

This four-day activity includes the presentation of accomplishment of the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Lanao del Sur and Maguindanao; and workshops, such as the Identification of Gaps in Program Implementation and Situational Assessment.

            The 2014 thrusts and priorities of the Pantawid Pamilya Program were also discussed by the Deputy Program Manager, Nida O. Ibot, RSW.

            Regional and provincial staff (RPMO-PMO ) also held a Fellowship and Cultural Night at the end of the activity showcasing the glamorous and sophisticated attire of the different culture in Mindanao.

The Pantawid Program is currently on the process of transition planning for all the beneficiaries that now will complete the 5 year program.

Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is one of the government’s flagship programs on poverty reduction. It provides cash grants to extremely poor households to improve their health, nutrition and education, specifically the 0-14 year-old children.
